ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP:
Since 2015, the Building Equitable and Inclusive Food Systems at UC Berkeley project has brought together active collaborators from across campus to help bridge the gaps between food and justice for our on-campus community. See the map in progress here: https://food.berkeley.edu/foodscape/map/
After two years of data collection, we now aim to create a set of policy recommendations based on map findings, and share this platform with campus leadership. The role of the Policy Fellow will be to analyze the findings, draft concise policy recommendations, disseminate recommendations to campus leadership, and organize a public town hall.
The fellow reports to Rosalie Z. Fanshel, Program Manager at the Berkeley Food Institute (BFI). Alastair Iles, BFI Founding Faculty Co-director, and Nina F. Ichikawa, BFI Policy Director, will also provide input on the fellow’s work.
