Seeking a Talented Student for Two Design Projects!

BFI is seeking a student with InDesign skills to do layout of two handouts: a 2-page guide to “Sustainable and Just Catering” and a 6 page policy brief related to the UC Berkeley Foodscape Map. Final products will be print-ready and interactive pdfs. Student will use existing BFI design templates, though there is room for creativity on illustration. The Just Catering will be ready to work on by March 26. The policy brief work will be between April 11-20, so will require concentrated hours.

Please send your resume and 2-3 samples of your InDesign work to Rosalie Z. Fanshel, BFI Program Manager, at rzfanshel@berkeley.edu by March 21, 2018, 5pm.

About the Project: Since 2015, the Building Equitable and Inclusive Food Systems at UC Berkeley project has brought together active collaborators from across campus to help bridge the gaps between food and justice. Toward this end, we are creating a dynamic “Foodscape Map” that aims to both reveal barriers to the full participation of historically marginalized community members in food-related learning and practice, and highlight opportunities and successes in overcoming such obstacles. See the map in progress here.
