Back to School Food Systems Field Day

September 9, 2021, 4:30–6:00pm
Oxford Tract, 1751 Walnut Street, Berkeley

The Berkeley Food Institute, Berkeley Agroecology Lab, and friends celebrate the return to campus with a field day at the Oxford Tract, one of UC Berkeley’s premier sites for hands-on food systems research and education. We invite you to mingle with your food systems community, tour the Berkeley Experimental Farm and newly launched Indigenous Community Learning Garden, and learn about Berkeley food systems research opportunities, coursework, and student groups. All with delicious food and beverages, of course!

This event is open to all Berkeley students, faculty, staff, postdocs, and visiting scholars. Please register with your Berkeley email address here. Farm tours will be held throughout the event. Learn more about the Oxford Tract Facility here.

Cosponsored by the Berkeley Food Institute, Berkeley Agroecology Lab, Indigenous Community Learning Garden, and Oxford Tract Facility.

We will follow the latest public health guidelines and campus policies to ensure that this event is as safe as possible. As these guidelines change frequently, we will email event registrants 24 hours prior to the event with an update.

Accessibility:

The Oxford Tract field site has uneven, unpaved ground. If you will require accommodation to fully participate in the event, please contact Tina Wistrom at cwistrom@berkeley.edu or 510-207-0370 at least 10 days in advance.
