Effects of organic matter amendments on net primary productivity and greenhouse gas emissions in annual grasslands

This study tests out the effects of amending grassland soils with organic waste to increase net primary productivity (NPP) and carbon storage. Results found that even a single application of composted organic matter can increase grassland carbon storage. This has implications for rangeland management and climate change mitigation.
