Policy Summary
Researchers examined the impacts of legislation – SB 12, WIC Reauthorization Act, and SB 965 – and school-based studies that measured pre- and post legislation food and beverage availability, sales, and student consumption. Overall, they found that regulation of school food led to improved student nutritional intake, and that greater impacts could be achieved with stronger policies and implementation.
