Supplemental Disaster Relief Program Stage (SDRP) Stage 2: A Workshop for California Farmers & Ranchers

The American Relief Act, 2025, provides more than $16 billion in disaster relief payments to producers who suffered revenue, quality or production losses to crops, trees, bushes, or vines due to qualifying disaster events in calendar years 2023 and 2024. The workshop will provide California Farmers & Ranchers to learn more about the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Supplemental Disaster Relief Program Stage 2 as the application deadline has been extended to August 12, 2026.

Cardiovascular Disease and Dietary Fiber — Clinical Outcomes and Interventions

This program provides health professionals and Coalition for Grain Fiber (CGF) scientists and advisors with a deeper understanding of the emerging role of fiber in cardiovascular disease progression and impact on quality of life; the evolution of the impact of dietary fiber as cardiovascular disease clinically intensifies; and particular subgroups that are more likely to benefit from fiber interventions.

GloCal Health Fellowship

The University of California Global Health Institute Fellowship supports a 12-month, mentored research fellowship for investigators interested in studying diseases and conditions in developing countries. The fellowship is designed for: US doctoral students (PhD, DrPH, etc.), professional students (MD, DDS, DVM, PharmD, etc.) and postdoctoral fellows, as well as foreign postdoctoral fellows from affiliated international sites in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Summer Garden Fellowship at Edible Schoolyard

Summer Fellows support all aspects of growing our garden, including weeding, watering, planting, harvesting, chicken care, and more. In addition to regular daily garden tasks, interested fellows may complete a project in a particular area of interest. Previous projects have included the creation of an edible weeds guide, volunteer documentation systems, garden signage, medicinal gardens, rain gardens, and more.

The INFAS Food Systems Fellowship (FSF) Program welcomes graduate students who aim to engage with communities in their food systems-related field of study. This fellowship program will provide professional development and mentoring, generally, and toward engaging with communities in ethical and respectful ways in students’ present or future research and work, specifically.
Root and Bloom Fellowship
September 2026 – June 2027 | Virtual
Organized into two major phases, Root and Bloom, fellows will dive into how many of the challenges young and BIPOC farmers face nationwide are deeply woven and rooted in federal agriculture policy. Fellows will then explore the ways those same policies and power dynamics play out in their communities and regions, blooming into new opportunities, positions of power, and local relationships, to make change at home.
