Fellowships

The Berkeley Food Institute is committed to connecting students to careers in food systems. As part of our mission to provide mentorship to students, we have developed opportunities for students to work with BFI in a range of capacities, including research, communications, community engagement, and policy.

Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate Fellowship

University of California Office of the President (UCOP) Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate Fellowship engages and energizes students in support of UC’s climate action and sustainable food goals. The fellowship program is funded by the UC President’s Global Climate Leadership Council (GCLC) in support of the President’s Leading on Climate priority, Sustainable Food and Agriculture Fellow Cohort.

The Berkeley Food Institute serves as UC Berkeley lead contact for Sustainable Food and Agriculture Fellow Cohort within the larger Bonnie Reiss Fellowship program.

We are not currently receiving applications for fellowships at the Berkeley Food Institute. We post our available fellowships as well as student assistantships in May/June, with applications typically due in July.
